The Regional Trial Court, Branch 28 of Mambajao, Camiguin, has issued a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) on the Camiguin Smart Tourism Ordinance of 2024, which requires Camiguin visitors to register with a QR Code. In response, Camiguin Governor Xavier Jesus D. Romualdo suspended the ordinance’s implementation in compliance, following the TRO, which is valid 20 days. He also stated that the ordinance will be re-implemented on October 18, 2024 upon the expiration of the said TRO.
