It appears that Super Five Bus Transport has outpaced Rural Transit Mindanao Inc. (RTMI) in becoming the first public transport to use the newly opened Panguil Bay Bridge. While RTMI had previously announced it would start using the bridge for its Dipolog-Cotabato route beginning October 1, motorists have already spotted a Super Five bus crossing the bridge today. Reports state the bus was plying the Dipolog-Cagayan de Oro route.
Previously, this route required taking a barge at Ozamiz City, but with the new bridge route, it seems the route has now included a stop in Tangub City, as shown in the photo below. It remains unclear though whether any adjustments to bus fares will be made following the route change.
