Misamis Oriental 2nd District Rep. Yevgeny Vincente ‘Bambi’ Emano is pushing for the development of Jasaan Port. During the Department of Transportation’s budget hearing, Rep. Emano emphasized that improving the port’s strategic location would boost the local economy, particularly the sand and gravel industry, given the high-quality aggregates from Balingasag, Jasaan and Tagoloan supplying customers in Cebu and Bohol. He also noted that the project could support logistics particularly in shipping agricultural products from Claveria town and Bukidnon to the Visayas.
In response, Philippine Ports Authority General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago committed to developing Jasaan Port after Rep. Bambi Emano informed them that the local government had resolved the road right-of-way issue leading to the port.
