From USAID Training to Entrepreneurial Success: Two Jamaican F&B Training Center Graduates Shine at USAID 2024 Private Sector Summit

Ryan Nicole Corod (D.A.K.S. Cafe) and Jhon Cayman Dungog (The Brew Box), two graduates of the Jamaican F&B Training Center in Cagayan de Oro City, shared their inspiring success stories as young entrepreneurs at the “Expanding Opportunities: Excellence in Youth Entrepreneurship” 2024 Private Sector Summit held at September 9-10 at Shangri-La Makati. Both were part of the USAID Opportunity 2.0 Program and spoke about their journeys at the event which was organized by the Philippine Business for Education (PBEd), USAID, and Education Development Center (EDC).

These graduates, now successful entrepreneurs, shared their inspiring journeys, showcasing how the training program equipped them with the skills and knowledge to launch their own businesses. Their stories highlighted the transformative power of the USAID Opportunity 2.0 Program in empowering young people to become economic drivers in their communities.

The graduates, who are also supported by the Youth Development Alliance, served as powerful examples of the program’s impact, demonstrating how education and mentorship can lead to entrepreneurial success.
