The Election Registration Board (ERB) denied the requests of 1,068 voters to transfer their registration to Barangay Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. The voters either missed the ERB hearings or couldn’t show proof of residency. This decision followed complaints from 31 individuals claiming the voters weren’t Carmen residents. Most of the denied applicants were from Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental. City Election Officer Joel Dexter Nagtalon stated that some of the voters just wanted to transfer to Carmen to receive government assistance.
