The Kalambaguhan-Vamenta Bridge and Access Road Project, the second iconic bridge project that will span Cagayan de Oro River is expected to start soon. This following the closure of Kalambaguhan Street starting from Capistrano Street towards Burgos Street in downtown Cagayan de Oro. However, based on the billboard posted onsite, the upcoming works amounting to P94.54 million will only cover the access road and not the bridge itself. Several properties might be affected by this project.
Here’s the billboard onsite.

As per initial info from DPWH, the bridge and access road will have a length of 840 meters, connecting Kalambaguhan Street to Vamenta Boulevard in Carmen. It will bypass Rio de Oro Boulevard.

This is just our indicative alignment.

The street is now closed to traffic and only residents and business clients in the area are allowed to enter.

Package 1 only covers the bridge approach along Kalabaguhan Street.

As shown, the approach will be elevated perhaps over the river boulevard.

Keep posted.
