Three members of the Philippine Public Safety Academy (PPSA) ‘Sandigmanlaya’ Class of 2024, the pioneer graduates of PPSA who are from Northern Mindanao, recently paid a courtesy visit to Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy. The graduates are Jail Inspector Jean E. Abarquez, a resident of Barangay Lumbia, Fire Inspector Roy A. Kentilitisca, and Fire Inspector Mariel Jose V. Bullecer. The pioneering batch celebrated their graduation on August 14, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.




Based in Calamba, Laguna, PPSA is a government academy tasked to facilitate and accelerate the smooth and coordinated transition of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) from the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) to the Philippine National Police (PNP). It was established by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) through its Circular No. 2022-009 in accordance to Republic Act 11279 signed by DILG Secretary Eduardo M. Año on March 4, 2022.
The three graduates will be assigned as Commissioned Officers (Fire/Jail Inspectors) to the BFP and BJMP.
