Cagayan de Oro Port Police successfully assisted a family from Gingoog City in recovering their 15-year-old daughter after she ran away from home, triggering a family crisis. According to a Facebook post by PPA PMO MisOrCdo, the parents quickly contacted the Port Police at the Passenger Terminal Complex after discovering messages on their daughter’s phone revealing plans to flee to Bohol, where an older suitor with a court order against him was waiting. Thanks to the swift response and coordination, the girl was found before she could board the ferry and is now safely back with her parents.
