Soleil Misalucha, the grand-daughter of Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha has been tapped to interpret an old song by Cagayan de Oro Christian contemporary band Thoughts And Notions. The song “Earthbound Angel” enjoyed decent airplay from years ago in radio stations in the city, and there was no contest that this was the song chosen by Thoughts And Notions for Soleil to give it her “Soleildified” rendition. Soleil is a multi-talented singer-songwriter who hails from Taguig City and stars in her own Youtube show on Cre8TV’s Youtube channel called “Soleildified”.
She was also nominated in the 15th PMPC Star Awards for Music under the Female Acoustic Artist of the year category for the song “Pabebe”. “Earthbound Angel” serves as the carrier single for Thoughts And Notions’ third album release which features a host of other artists from across the Philippine archipelago.

Dubbed as Thoughts And Notions Plus: A Collection of Collaborations features 10 tracks (plus two bonus tracks) that encompasses various music genres that the band had dared not tread before. Bringing together a collection of artists that they collaborated with, highlighting their unique strengths for each song. CDO artists are also well represented in this compilation album such as the songs “Iglap” (by Novelista Pasta), “Kusog nga gi hinumdom” (first bisrock song written with Oquilla PH), “Brand New Reason” and ”BNR” (featuring CDO Ramp model and future Volleyball star Kai Huyno of the UST Tigers Volleyball team), “My Love Song” (by Wilbert Tan), and the star studded Christmas Alternative Rock song “What Real Christmas Means to Me” (by Elvis Rock, Wile Lile, AJ Alburo, and Tirada). Rounding up the cast of artists, the gospel song “Mighty” was interpreted by Ben Oribe from General Santos City, “Heartbeats” by Rochy Dadivas from Bulacan, and “BNR” featuring the music of Dud Lemon from Muntinlupa City. Soleil also co-wrote the bossa nova flavored Christmas song “Sentro ng Pasko” with the band, giving us a glimpse of her versatility as a singer-songwriter.
Listeners of the album will be given a treat because this is the first time that Thoughts And Notions experimented with their music and ventured into different music genres. Music genres ranging from OPM Rock, Experimental, Bisaya Rock, Disco Pop, Acoustic Pop, Lo-Fi Chill, Gospel, Bossa Nova, and Christmas songs. It’s like a smorgasbord of different musical palettes that takes you on a musical journey that not only gives a feel good music, but of lyrics that are geared on bringing positive messages of Hope, Love, Faith, and Redemption. Which Thoughts And Notions has been very known of producing. Music lovers will definitely have their own favorites from the album.
With songs that “Aims to uplift wounded souls with their brand of music”, the band currently has reached more than 1 million streams in total for their catalogue on Spotify, and continues to build on those numbers as they continue to reach listeners and audiences not only in our country, but the greater part of the world as well.
