The land development of the 21-hectare Xavier University Masterson Campus, dubbed the “Campus of the Future,” in Upper Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City has reached 13 percent completion. The land development phase, which includes site preparation, road networks, drainage systems, power and water utilities, and other related infrastructure improvements, is expected to be completed in two years. Following this, the construction of essential buildings and amenities under Phase 1 will commence. The entire campus is targeted for completion in 2032, just in time for the university’s centennial celebration in 2033.

A first of its kind Social Media Day was held today relative to the new campus.

Aside from the campus facilities, the masterplan also covers the 25-hectare forest reserve.

Buildings to be constructed under Phase 1 are as follows:

  1. University Church
  2. University Library
  3. Administration
  4. School of Health & Sciences
  5. Creatives & Innovation
  6. Formation Center
  7. Science Center
  8. Tech Hub
  9. Science, Technology, Engineering Agriculture & Mathematics
  10. Humanities, Social Sciences & Education
  11. Business, Accountancy & Governance
  12. Dorm & Canteen
  13. Jesuit Residence
  14. Covered Courts
  15. Physical Plant Office

Each parcel number has an accompanying map indicating its location.

More earthworks will still be undertaken on this area to meet the elevation of Masterson Avenue seen at right.

This enclosed area where stockpiles of sand and aggregates is where the University Church will rise.

This portion is the location of the soccer field and oval.

At left is a retention pond where stormwater runoffs are stored.
