Starting August 12, 2024, the Municipal Government of Tagoloan in Misamis Oriental will strictly reimpose a curfew for minors from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM, as mandated by Municipal Ordinance No. 398, series of 1999. This measure aims to enhance public order and safety within the town. The local authorities stress that the curfew is part of broader efforts to maintain peace, protect minors, and prevent juvenile delinquency. Parents and guardians are urged to ensure compliance with the ordinance, with violators facing appropriate fines.
Under Section III. Section 5 of said ordinance, anyone who violates this ordinance shall be punished with a fine as follows:
1st offense: Two Hundred Pesos (200) & 1 Hr Community Service
2nd offense: Three Hundred Pesos (300) & 2 Hrs Community Service
3rd offense: Five Hundred Pesos (500) & 3 Hrs Community Service
Police and local authorities has already started notifying the public of the said curfew ordinance until August 11, 2024
