Appointed Director IV, Regional Director, at the age of 26, Rafael Y. Abrogar II, has been designated by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Secretary Suharto T. Mangudadatu to lead the agency in Northern Mindanao effective July 17, 2024.
Born and raised in Cagayan de Oro City, an alumni of Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan, he previously served TESDA as Regional Director for 6 years in the Cordillera Administrative Region and SOCCSKSARGEN region.
Among his notable accomplishments include securing multi million infrastructure projects to build up training delivery and accessibility in region 12, among this include the construction of the TESDA 12 Regional Office, the TESDA 12 Regional Training Center, construction of 7 Provincial Training Centers.
With his assumption, the TESDA head vows to collaborate with TechVoc Stakeholders – local government units, national line agencies, academe and industries – vows inclusive, high quality and accessible Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs to widen employment opportunities most specially to the underprivileged sectors of the city and the region.
