Residents in the coastal village of Sabangan in Waterfall, Balingasag, Misamis Oriental, were treated to a delightful surprise on the afternoon of July 17, 2024 after witnessing a sea turtle nesting on the beach. Photos shared by netizen Anin Cailing showed villagers, particularly children, curiously gathering around the turtle on its nesting area before it eventually returned to the sea. Residents then placed a net around the nesting area after the sea turtle left.
