Cagayan de Oro’s Jio Jalalon has officially ended his stint with Magnolia Chicken Timplados after being traded, along with Abu Tratter, to NorthPort Batang Pier for Zavier Lucero. During his eight years with the Magnolia franchise, Jalalon garnered numerous accolades, including being named to the PBA All-Rookie Team (2017), PBA Mr. Quality Minutes (2017), three-time PBA All-Defensive Team (2017, 2021, 2023), PBA Defensive Player of the Year (2023), five-time PBA All-Star (2017, 2018, 2019, 2023, 2024), and PBA Champion (2018 Governors’ Cup).
