The Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) increased its medal tally to 14 golds, 26 silvers and 43 bronzes to climb to 9th place in the ongoing Palarong Pambansa 2024 in Cebu City. Two runners from Misamis Oriental and a boxer from Iligan City secured the latest gold medals for NMRAA.
CHARDONEY DION B DE DIOS of Talusan Integrated School in Balingasag, Misamis Oriental took the gold in the 800-meter run elementary girls.

Meanwhile, ERIK JAY S PENSAHAN of Sampatulog Integrated School in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental also won the gold in the 800-meter run secondary boys.
In boxing, MARK JOSEPH T MANQUIQUIS of St Therese Academy in Iligan City bagged the gold in secondary boys pin weight division.
