Did you know that the mother of actress and comedian Melisa Cantiveros-Francisco, better known as “Melai,” hails from Cagayan de Oro? Melai revealed this during her appearance on Ms. Cynthia’s YouTube channel, a young passionate cook based in the countryside of Bohol. She shared that her grandparents originally came from Bohol and moved to Cagayan de Oro in search of a better life. Melai fondly reminisced about their family trips from GenSan to Cagayan de Oro, and then on to Bohol.
