Bicycles and cycling are now prohibited at Rio de Oro Boulevard. Atty. Jose Edgardo Uy, Chairman of the Boulevard Management Team, announced that this decision was made following several incidents where cyclists used the roadway as a racetrack, resulting in accidents involving pedestrians, including the elderly, children, joggers, and promenaders. Despite multiple warnings from security, cyclists repeatedly ignored the rules, leading to the ban.

As a result, Atty. Uy has directed security guards, along with personnel from the Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA), to enforce the ban with support from on-site police officers. Additionally, barangay tanods will assist in their respective areas to ensure compliance.
