Landers Superstore is definitely coming to Cagayan de Oro. After all the rumors, Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy confirmed that while he was preparing for his State of the City Address, top executives of Landers recently came to his house for a courtesy visit informing him that they will soon start the construction of their upcoming branch in the city. Mayor Klarex stated Landers is currently looking at a 3-hectare property and another site which he did not disclose.
He then sought City Engineer Joel Momongan and (Office of the Building Official) Head Engr. Rosanna Rodriguez regarding the property showed to him by Landers whether they would not be hassled by rainy weather. Watch this clip below (from City Information Office).
Similar to S&R, Landers is also a membership shopping grocery store. While S&R has its New York-Style Pizza, Landers also has a dining area plus a specialty coffee shop.
