PROJECT WATCH: 49.79-km Cagayan de Oro Diversion Road Extension connects Alae to Lanise in Claveria via Malitbog

If you’re from Bukidnon and planning a trip to Claveria or vice-versa, you’ll soon be able to bypass Puerto in Cagayan de Oro thanks to the new 49.79-kilometer Cagayan de Oro Diversion Road Extension Project. This road will connect Alae in Manolo Fortich to Lanise in Claveria, passing through Malitbog Proper. According to the latest progress update by DPWH-10, approximately 20.89 kilometers of the road have already been concreted. One of five bridges along the alignment is currently under construction.

As shown, this new road opening will start at Junction Sayre Highway after Alae Proper. Most of this section from Alae to Malitbog is still for funding while the section from Malitbog to Lanise is mostly already concreted with some segments still either unpaved or under construction. One bridge is already ongoing while 4 more are yet to be constructed.

Keep posted.
