The SM City CDO Uptown Redevelopment Project is set to shift into high gear as isolation walls are now being installed along the northern entrance of the main mall. This area will feature one of two planned walkbridges, which will connect the mall’s 2nd level to the North Wing.

The isolation walls aim to separate the work area (construction) from the mall operations.

Sources state that the back portion of the main mall will also have a 2nd level that will connect to the North Wing by another bridge. Construction is made phase by phase so as not to disrupt mall operations.

Interestingly, initial reports gathered that SM Store will switch places with SM Supermarket which will now be facing the North Wing. SM Store’s Fashion Wing has already occupied the space next to the supermarket. But still, this remains to be seen and could finally be realized once construction will begin.

Here are renderings of the North Wing connected to the mall by walk bridges.

Here’s the Main Mall and the North Wing.

Keep posted.
