The Perlas ng Silangan Basketball League (PSBL), the newest grassroots development basketball league in the country which fires off on July 24 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, is planning to reach Cagayan de Oro for its future leg after NCR. The league is basically local government unit-based and categorized by age group as Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21.
The league also announced the appointment of former PBA player Rodney Santos as its first commissioner.
