Construction of the CDO Eastern Interior Bypass Road is still less than halfway completed (budget-wise). This six-lane 10.80-kilometer alternate highway starts as a continuation of JR Borja Extension in Barangay Gusa and traverses Barangays Cugman, Tablon, Agusan and eventually connects to Junction Sayre Highway at Barangay Puerto. Based on the latest progress update by DPWH-X Regional Director Zenaida Tan, about 2.50 kilometers have already been concreted with ongoing road opening of 2 kilometers.

The total project cost amounted to P5.282 billion with total amount released at P3.073 billion.

As shown, only a section in Gusa near Bigaan Bridge 3 remains to be funded for next year while the rest of the alignment either have been completed or are still ongoing. Note that part of the project includes a connector to Butuan-Cagayan-Iligan Road (BCIR) in Tablon beside N&G Industrial Park.
