There’s an upcoming tourist spot in Valencia City, Bukidnon that has been drawing curiosity and excitement from residents in the locality as well as surrounding areas. Located in Purok 2, Sitio Sumpong, Barangay Banlag, some 14 kilometers southeast of the city proper, Anahawon Ridge offers stunning overlooking views and a sea of clouds. It features a large architecturally designed gazebo and several smaller sheds for picnics and sightseeing. Although still under construction, residents can freely access it using motorcycles or 4-wheel drive vehicles. Browse photos below.
By the way, the LGU of Brgy Banlag had previously passed an ordinance in July 2020 identifying Anahawon Ridge as a tourist destination, thereby providing regulations and management of the site for tourism purposes.
