No progress has been observed on the new Cagayan de Oro City Library project located along Don Apolinar Velez Street, adjacent to Pelaez Sports Center. Currently, there are no workers on site, and the crane that was present a few months ago is no longer there. Once completed, the library building will also house 52 classrooms for the City Central School and serve as the home of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines office.
An aerial photo showed some new steel frames onsite but the absence of workers indicate work may have been suspended to date.
