DALER ALLER EBCAS, from Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines and currently a Special Education (SPED) Teacher at Joseph and Olinga Gregory Elementary School in Kalskag, Alaska has just been named as the 2024 Educator of the Year in Alaska. Congratulations!

To God be all the glory!
Today, I am profoundly honored to receive the 2024 Educator of the Year Award, alongside distinguished educators from across our state.
I dedicate this award first and foremost to the Lord, who has endowed me with strength and wisdom. A heartfelt tribute goes to my first teacher and biggest inspiration, my mother. Her unwavering support and guidance have shaped my path in countless ways- this one’s for you, Ma! To my family and friends in the Philippines and the USA, your encouragement fuels my journey.
Special thanks to my better half, who constantly motivates me to excel in my profession. Thank you By 
This accolade also belongs to the vibrant community of Kalskag Village, my second home, whose spirit and support make every challenge worthwhile. Thank you so much JOGES and Kalskag Family 
I am immensely grateful to my school district- KUSPUK SCHOOL DISTRICT for facilitating my journey to receive this award in person. A huge acknowledgment goes to my superintendent, whose leadership and dedication to excellence profoundly influence our educational community. Thank you so much maam, Dr Maddi Aguillard.
A special thank you to Deputy Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development, Mr. Nelson San, San Juan whose unwavering support for teachers in Alaska, particularly those in remote areas, is incredibly valuable.
And lastly, this recognition is for my students—I love you all! You are my daily inspiration. I have no doubt that with the right interventions and support, each of you will find success in life. You are the reason I strive to be better every day.
Teaching is a profound responsibility, blessed with rewards and its fair share of challenges. Yet, I firmly believe in the immense value of our profession; we shape not just minds but the futures of individuals who will one day lead our nation.
