A motorcycle rider with a backrider collided with a private vehicle along CM Recto Avenue in the vicinity of Gaisano City and Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) in Cagayan de Oro Friday evening, April 19. Reports revealed that the rider was trying to evade traffic enforcers by counterflowing in the opposite lane when the accident happened. Notably, his female backrider was not wearing a helmet and the motorcycle has no side mirror. Consequently, the backrider sustained injuries and was rushed to the nearby hospital.
