Aside from Uptown and Downtown areas, Cagayan de Oro City will have six (6) additional areas identified as open for development to both private and public stakeholders in the proposed Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) of the city. These include Midtown, Highland, Central Rridge, CDO East, Port Town, and Coastal Strip areas. This was disclosed by acting City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) department manager Chedilyn Aissa Dulguime during the recent dialogue with property developers, investors and business owners held last April 16 at VIP Hotel.
Accordingly, the CLUP is derived from the cumulative analysis of current trends and intentional plotting of future developments in the city. The updated development areas include:
- Uptown
- Downtown
- Midtown
- Highland
- Central Ridge
- CDO East
- Port Town
- Coastal Strip
Dulguime said the CPDO is now on ‘the homestretch’ of finalizing the CLUP which they hope to complete by June this year.
