With several of its main facilities now almost done, the 13-hectare Bukidnon Sports and Cultural Complex located in Laguitas, Malaybalay City is set to be inaugurated next week, April 13, coinciding with the birthday of Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri as well as the Kaamulan Festival activities. As shown, the oval and stadium with “BUKIDNON” painted across the stadium and the basketball gymnasium have already been completed. Other facilities such as the cultural building, aquatic center, and open field are now in the final stages of construction.
It is expected that Senate President Zubiri will lead the inauguration together with provincial and city officials. A FREE concert featuring Ben & Ben, Alden Richards, Karencitta and the 7 Tribes of Bukidnon band will follow at 4:00pm same day. The concert will be the first major event at the said facility.

Meanwhile, the Open Field with 800 seating capacity is still ongoing. Other facilities such as the Open Parking Space with 325 car slots and 44 bus slots, 640-seating capacity Tennis Courts and the 1,536-bed capacity Dormitory have not been started and will likely be implemented in the next phase.
