Tambacan Bridge in Iligan City has been officially renamed to “Mariano Lluch Badelles Sr. Bridge” by virtue of Republic Act No. 11989 in honor of the first elected city mayor of Iligan and former representative of Lanao del Norte who was responsible in the establishment of a two-lane bridge crossing Iligan River in Barangay Tambacan.
Badelles served as mayor of Iligan from 1956-1959 and became a 3-termed representative of the 1st District of Lanao del Norte (1987-1998). He died in 2004.
