Sacred Heart of Jesus Montessori School (SHJMS) Elementary Basketball Team secured first place in the recently concluded PRISAA Regional Games held at Pilgrim Christian College Gym in Cagayan de Oro last February 17-18, 2024. The Saints went undefeated during the 2-day event overpowering other teams which included Infant Jesus School of Bukidnon, Philippine College Foundation of Valencia City, Bukidnon, Kong Hua School, and host Pilgrim Christian College. They now advance to the PRISAA National Games set in July 2024 in Legazpi City, Albay. Congratulations!
The Saints are composed of — Kuinisala, Sabasaje, Buna, Magarang, Decatoria, Metiilo, Canoy, Tagaro, Nambatac, Dominese, and Bordado, gave their best shot to secure the victory for the team. The success of the championship-winning team was attributed not only to individual talent but also to the deep bond and camaraderie among the players, including the guidance of their coach Albert Bernados . This strong connection and support among team members played a pivotal role in their journey to victory.

Skill, determination, teamwork, and a shared passion for the game have propelled these student-athletes to achieve greatness on a national stage. Their victory serves as an inspiration for future generations of athletes, proving that with dedication, hard work, and a strong bond among teammates, even the most ambitious dreams can be realized.
