The remaining 280-meter segment of the ongoing Tagoloan Bridge 3 as part of the Puerto-Claveria Bypass Road will soon be completed. This following the recent pre-bidding conference conducted by DPWH for the project as funded under General Appropriations Act of 2024. Project cost amounted to P49.215 million and set to be completed in 10.5 months. The Puerto-Claveria Bypass Road aims to reduce travel time and decongest heavy traffic along the National Highway. It will also jumpstart economies in surrounding areas through the development of vast agricultural lands and opportunities for tourism.

Here’s a satellite photo of the site showing the ongoing bridge construction as funded in the previous phase.

Shown below is the indicative alignment, from Brgy Puerto (National Highway), the road will traverse east towards Upper Bugo and pass at the back of Villa Trinitas Subdivision then goes northeast crossing Tagoloan River towards Brgy. Sta Ana (Tagoloan) and follows the Sta. Ana – Malitbog Road then turns north at Brgy Rosario (Tagoloan) connecting to Brgy Punong in Claveria then northeast to Poblacion, Claveria. The Puerto-Claveria Road also traverses the Alae-Phividec Bypass Road.

Some segments in Upper Bugo were already completed (screengrabs).
