Dennis C Balagbis, the very first recipient of “Laptop Para sa Pangarap Project” that was started by a school teacher in Iligan City has graduated with Latin honors at Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) last February 2, 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Teacher Melanie Reyes Figueroa, who started the project to assist students in online classes during the pandemic, proudly shared Dennis’s achievement on Facebook.
Teacher Melanie asked for sponsors for the laptop to be given to students who have difficulty in online classes due to lack of gadgets. Accordingly, a total of 10 students received laptops. Dennis is shown below receiving the laptop way back in September 2020.
