The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has announced that ninety (90) local government units (LGUs) in Northern Mindanao have passed the 2023 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) for consistent compliance with the Full Disclosure Policy (FDP) and alignment with financial administration standards, as well as compliance with the rules and regulations set forth by the Commission on Audit (COA). Of the total, recognition was given to five (5) provinces, one (1) highly urbanized city, seven (7) component cities, and 77 municipalities in the region.
The GFH, formerly the Seal of Good Housekeeping, is a component of the coveted Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) which is awarded to provincial, city, and municipal governments that have shown remarkable compliance in the accounting and auditing standards, rules, and regulations.
