Misamis Occidental Governor Henry S. Oaminal recently inspected the progress update of the 49-hectare Asenso Misamis Occidental Resort and Aquamarine Park (AMORAP) Project dubbed “The Maldives of Mindanao” located in Barangay Libertad Bajo in the Municipality of Sinacaban. The project which is inspired by the world famous island resorts in the Indian Ocean is expected to boost the tourism industry in the province.

During his visit yesterday, January 21, 2024, Gov. Oaminal was accompanied by Provincial Engineering Office head, Engr. Ophelia Gorre who briefed him about the construction update.

The whole coastal development includes the following amenities:

This is the existing structure of the former Misamis Occidental Aquamarine Park (MOAP). Note ongoing extension where coastal villas will be built.

It’s still a long way to go but progress is observed.
