Tons of sardines have washed up on a beach in Sarangani Province in Southern Philippines for unknown reasons. The viral videos showed the sardines locally known as “tamban” blanketing the beach of a resort in Maasim town with local residents gathering the fish. The incident took place just before sunrise on Sunday, January 7, 2024. While many felt these were God’s grace, some also raised some superstitious beliefs.
