The ongoing renovation works of Nazareno Parish Church in Cagayan de Oro City particularly for its new dome structure may have to be temporarily paused to give way to the feast of the Black Nazarene which is only three days away when thousands of devotees are expected to converge at the church. As shown, scaffoldings for the construction are still observed inside the church.
We don’t know if the scaffoldings will be removed during the feast when thousands of devotees are expected. There could be safety issues if these would remain during the occasion.
The opening at the ceiling of the dome structure is already done.
One thing noticed though was the absence of warning sign “danger of falling debris” especially that construction work is done above with several church goers and parishioners below.
