A barangay official in Iponan, Cagayan de Oro City who is currently detained at Lumbia City Jail due to drugs has been re-elected in the recent Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE 2023). Redem Dablio placed 4th among all candidates for the 7-man barangay council. It can be recalled that on October 18, 2019, Dablio was arrested at his house following a raid by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-10) which yielded 11 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated worth of P40,800. His case is still pending.

According to Comelec, he was qualified to run because he has not been convicted of the crime.
