According to reports and photos posted in social media by local residents, a large corn silo belonging to Cargill Philippines in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental, purportedly collapsed early Sunday morning, October 29, leading to the spillage of 4,000 tons of corn onto several hauling trucks parked adjacent to the facility. Cargill Villanueva Plant is a hub for animal feed ingredients carrying the Purina brand.
