China Bank Savings (CBS), through its partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), played a significant role as one of the major sponsors for the National Teachers Month Culmination Gathering in Butuan City on October 5, 2023.
Under the theme “Together 4 Teachers,” emphasizing Appreciation, Admiration, Approval, and Attention, CBS, through its APD Lending Group, remains steadfast in its support of DepEd in this annual event. CBS has allocated a total of P8 million worth of exciting prizes and giveaways for participating colleagues and teachers. These prizes comprise ten (10) 32-inch Samsung smart TV sets, thirty-five (35) Dell laptops, twenty (20) Honda Click 125i motorcycles, one brand-new Toyota Raize, and one brand-new Toyota Innova.
The Bank recognizes the passion and dedication of the Filipino teacher community. Over the years, CBS implemented programs for the benefit of teachers and students in the public school system.
These include the CBS DepEd Venture Alay sa mga Guro and Financial Wellness Road Show, Brigada Eskwela, Brigada Pagbasa, and the CBS Gadget Assistance Program.
As part of its nation-building initiatives geared towards financial inclusivity, the Bank on-boarded and opened free basic deposit accounts for 32,000 public school teachers via the CBS Go app. These digital accounts will help teachers nationwide grow their savings and easily conduct transactions online.
