The proposed Cagayan de Oro Aerial Mass Transport System is envisioned to be the first aerial cable gondola system for urban mass transit in the Philippines. This innovative system will be capable of accommodating up to 20,000 daily commuters on its initial 3-kilometer route in Phase 1, connecting Paseo to Masterson. The CDO AC Skyjeep aims to alleviate uptown traffic congestion while offering a practical and dependable transportation option for the highly urbanized uptown district of the city.
As shown below, there will be five (5) stations that will be implemented in three phases:
- Phase 1 – Masterson (near SM City Uptown), Paseo (downtown)
- Phase 2 – Gaisano Lumbia (Uptown)
- Phase 3 – Cogon (Hayes Street), CM Recto

The estimated travel times between stations are as follows:
- Gaisano Uptown – Masterson (6 minutes)
- Masterson – Paseo (8-9 minutes)
- Paseo – Cogon
- Cogon – CM Recto (4 minutes)
The approach from Masterson to Paseo Station is said to have most scenic view. By the way, Gondola Interval is 15-20 seconds.
In his presentation during the recent Cagayan de Oro Investment Forum held at Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City, Engr. Elpidio Paras stated that the AC Gondola System will operate on electricity, primarily derived from sustainable sources like solar and hydro power. Furthermore, it requires less capital investment in infrastructure compared to LRT/MRT train solutions, making it feasible to construct and commence operations in as little as 24 months.
