RANDOM SHOTS: NUDA – TJ Monterde’s make your own Korean ramyun house in downtown CDO

NUDA, a cozy DIY Korean Ramyun House, has been attracting customers since its recent grand opening last September 16. Owned by Kagay-anon singer-songwriter TJ Monterde, this establishment is just near XU Gym, along Corrales Avenue. It’s the ideal spot to indulge in the experience of cooking your own Korean ramyun and fulfilling your cravings. NUDA is open from 10AM to 10PM from Monday to Thursday and extends its hours until 12AM on Fridays and Saturdays.

NUDA is just a short walking distance from Divisoria.

7 simple steps to do… first is to get a tray (see right).

Then get a bowl.

Take your pick from the countless ramen options.

Empty the ramen into the bowl (except ingredients) and choose toppings.

Pay at the counter.

Bring the bowl at the cooking station. Press M1 for soup or M2 for canton-style. Then press Start.

The timer sets the estimated cooking time.

Empty the sachets of other ingredients and flavorings.

Occasionally stir the noodles.

Some service staff are there to help.

Once cooking is done… happy eating!

NUDA CDO is the city’s second self-serve ramyeon restaurant. Fred’s Ramyun Bar opened in Uptown CDO on August 25 after a soft opening period of almost a month.
