AirAsia Philippines is planning to increase its number of flights serving Cagayan de Oro City. This after the airline stated it is eyeing additional airport slots to increase flights to Visayas and Mindanao. Accordingly, an airport slot is a permit issued to airlines to use takeoff and landing facilities at an airport. Reports revealed there are currently unutilized slots which were the result of flight reductions during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
