Congratulations!

The Philippines’ participation to the 16th International Olympiad on Astronomy & Astrophysics (IOAA) in Chorzow, Poland was a milestone since it was the first ever medal won by the country after 13 long years.

Accordingly, he is the first Filipino to participate in the 3 prestigious competitions (IOAA, IMO, IChO) in a year in a span of just 2 months from July-August 2023.

According to his father, Nur has been in Manila since June training at UP Diliman Institute of Mathematics, Ateneo de Manila University at Phil Institute of Pure & Applied Chemistry, PSHS-Main Campus and at PAGASA Observatory.

The Marawi siege in 2017 became the medium to a lot of opportunities in his collective journey in the world of math, chemistry and astrophysics.
