Young chess wizards Janin Querequere of Balingoan, Misamis Oriental and Ashzley Aya Nicole Paquinol of Cagayan de Oro City finished Champion and 2nd Place, respectively in the elementary division of the just concluded Asenso Misamis Occidental National Open Chess Tournament held over the weekend at Aya Hotel and Residences in Clarin, Misamis Occidental. Both actually finished in a tie but Querequere eventually won after the tie-break. Congratulations.
