Health officials recently led the blessing and inauguration of the newly completed Northern Mindanao Regional Blood Center (NMRBC) located at the Department of Health (DOH) Compound in Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. The center is a significant milestone in the collective efforts to enhance blood services and ensure a safe and sustainable blood supply for the people of Northern Mindanao.


The NMRBC will serve as a vital hub, providing life-saving blood and blood products to hospitals, healthcare providers, and patients in need. It will not only bridge the gap between demand and supply but also ensure the safety and quality of blood transfusions, fostering a culture of patient-centered care and public trust.


Cagayan de Oro 2nd District Representative Rufus Rodriguez was a special guest during the ceremony that was attended by DOH Undersecretary Abdullah Dumama Jr., Assistant Secretary Leonita Gorgolon, outgoing DOH Regional Director Jose Llacuna Jr., incoming RD Ellenieta Gamolo and ARD David Mendoza.
