Rex Alcover scored 26 points as the Cagayan de Oro Higalas Team B rallied to beat Meljohn’s Tailoring of Valencia City, 86-82, in Game 1 of the Best-of-3 Finals series in the Pilipinas Super League 18-Under Mindanao North Leg Championship held at the Valencia City Gymnasium and Cultural Center.
The Higalas played catch up most of the game before Nathan Villanueva nailed a 3-pointer to give the Cagayan de Oro-based team the lead for the first time, 80-79 with 1:09 left in the game. John Joseph Sanoria added 20 points for the Higalas while Jarl Artango added 11 points and Marc Iman ably supported with 8 points and 10 rebounds.nWatch the full game below.
