CRIME WATCH: Missing Bukidnon cop found dead in river; family cries for justice

The family of a policeman who was found dead in Maradugao River in Purok 2, Barangay Panang in Wao, Lanao del Sur on Monday, June 26 after being reported missing last Saturday, June 24 is calling for justice. Reports have identified the victim as Patrolman Jeffrey Dabuco, 31, a resident of Kalilangan, Bukidnon and assigned at the 2nd Platoon of the 1004th Regional Mobile Force Battalion-Northern Mindanao (RMFB-10).

The Kalilangan Municipal Police Station is now conducting a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of the policeman who was last seen inside the barracks of the Maradugao Patrol Base in Barangay Pamotolan after a celebration of June birthday celebrants.

The family of the victim is calling for justice indicating foul play on his death.

Meanwhile, PLtCol Isralene Z Lauren, Officer in Charge of RMFB 10 has released a statement regarding Pat. Dabuco’s death. Further, 9 personnel of the Maradugao Patrol Base have been placed under restrictive custody at the Battalion Headquarters to ensure their availability while investigation is underway.
