Fisherfolk in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental recently turned over to the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) a sea turtle which found its way to the coastal village last June 15, 2023. The turtle approximately weighed around 60 kilograms with no signs of disease or injury. Amid the heavy rain, personnel of MAO led by Municipal Agriculturist Roy Hugo Pagtalunan together with PNP-Tagolan and Bantay Dagat of Barangay Baluarte carried and released the sea turtle back to its natural habitat. Mr Pagtalunan also called on the public not to hesitate to call their attention and not harm the animal whenever they see similar animal again.
