The body of the 15-year old student from Cagayan de Oro City who jumped from Marcos Bridge last May 5, 2023 was found by a fisherman floating off the coast of Sitio Mindalama, Purok 4, Barangay Silad in Sugbongcogon, Misamis Oriental early Thursday, June 8, 2023. Reports revealed that the body of John Carlo Joaquin was already in a state of decomposition with his head and some internal organs missing but was still wearing pants and shoes. His family has already identified his body through his pants and brief. Rest in peace.
It can be recalled that the victim together with a female classmate jumped off the bridge last May 5, 2023. Boatmen from nearby river quarry in Barangay Consolacion were able to save the girl. The victim has since been reported missing with his family offering up to P37,500 for anybody who can provide info on his whereabouts.
