An ad hoc technical working group (TWG) of the City Government of Cagayan de Oro which has initially allowed the public to enter the newly-inaugurated CDO River Boulevard, will be releasing soon the final guidelines on the use of the boulevard. Task Group Demolition head Atty. Jose Edgardo Uy who is part of the group stated in his Facebook account that for now, only pedestrians, bicycles, and e-bikes are allowed to enter the boulevard.
Meanwhile, motor vehicles and motorcycles will not be allowed to enter until further advice, except for emergency vehicles, e.g., police cars, ambulances, light fire trucks. Further, selling of any kind of food stuff, or any alcoholic beverages, shall be prohibited.

To address the garbage issue, trash bins will be provided along the stretch of the boulevard, but until then, promenaders, et.al., are strictly prohibited from throwing trash or garbage just anywhere.

Guards will also continue to be posted to ensure that the integrity, cleanliness, and aesthetics of the boulevard will be preserved and maintained.

The TWG is earnestly requesting the public to treat the boulevard as a city landmark for which we as Kagay-anons will be proud of.
